Now to southern China, where an international fair for cultural industries has opened in Shenzhen. This year, much of the focus is on their capacity to develop in China's so-called Greater Bay Area project -- which links Hong Kong, Macao, and a host of major cities in Guangdong province. CGTN's Lu Sirui has more.
With more than 2,300 exhibitors from over 50 countries and regions around the world, the China International Cultural Industries Fair, kicked off its 15th edition Thursday in Shenzhen.
The event features 9 different display sectors. Companies are finding partnerships here.
VISITOR "My company does design for the side-products of some intellectual property items. We come here to know about the trend in the industry."
In the Greater Bay Area display sector, exhibitors are opening doors to inland resources. This company, based in Shenzhen, is looking for partnerships to further develop the resources in Zhangjiajie, an area in central China, that was twice featured in the U.S. hit film 'Avatar' for its exotic scenery.
LI XINTONG, EXHIBITOR SHENGSHI LIYE GROUP "We are going to make the world's first 'interactive musical' in Zhangjiajie, We hope this exhibition will allow more people to know about us."
Some more serious industries, like money printing and minting, are also celebrating the cultural carnival. Previously, one company made souvenir products for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. This time, to add some human touch to its technology, it has decided to apply its high-end anti-forgery technology to handicrafts and art pieces.
QIN SUJIAN, EXHIBITOR CHINA BANKNOTE PRINTING AND MINTING GROUP "This exhibition is a very good platform for cultural trade companies to exchange experiences. It can also better people's understanding of our industry, and help us approach a wider market."
Around 80 supporting activities such as creative design competition and forums on cultural trade will be held during the 5-day exhibition. According to its official website, the past 14 editions of the fair saw a total transaction volume of more than 252 billion U.S. dollars. Lu Sirui, CGTN.
