M6.0 earthquake recorded off eastern Japan

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake was recorded off eastern Japan on Friday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The epicenter was 255 kilometers east of Ishinomaki, Japan.
The earthquake struck at 5:00 p.m. local time with no tsunami warning issued, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
No casualties or damages have been reported yet.
