The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has found Russian curler Aleksandr Krushelnitckii guilty of violating anti-doping rules after testing positive for a banned substance, and disqualified the Olympic Athletes from Russia (OAR) team from the mixed doubles curling event at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
"The athlete has admitted the anti-doping rule violation," CAS said in a statement.
A routine doping sample of Krushelnitckii, who bagged bronze in mixed doubles with his wife Anastasia Bryzgalova last week, had come back positive for meldonium, a drug that can help improve exercise capacity and endurance.

He was stripped of the bronze medal by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Krushelnitckii was allowed to compete in PyeongChang as a neutral athlete after the IOC banned Russia from taking part in the event following a massive doping scandal.
