Freestyle skiing: China claims silver in men’s aerials final

Jia Zongyang won China its fifth silver medal of the PyeongChang Olympics in the freestyle skiing men’s aerials at Phoenix Snow Park on Sunday night.
Jia nailed his last jump with a back full-full-double full that had a degree of difficulty of 4.525, producing a score of 128.05 points to take his first Olympic medal.  
Oleksandr Abramenko from Ukraine took gold with 128.51 points, claiming his country's first-ever medal in freestyle skiing in his fourth Olympics.
Ilia Burov, an Olympic athlete from Russia, got the bronze with 122.17. 
Men’s aerials is known for its high-flying jumps. The qualifying rounds saw some of the highest scores, and the final picked up right where the athletes left off. 
 Anton Kushnir, the 2014 gold medalist, did not advance to the final, such was the quality of the jumps in qualifying.
