Chinese President Xi Jinping has held talks with Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa after welcoming the country's new leader to Beijing at the Great Hall of the People. The two presidents witnessed the signing of a number of deals, and also agreed to upgrade their bilateral relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership. President Xi cited their long-standing friendship, adding that they should expand their cooperation under the Belt and the Road Initiative and the China-Africa Cooperation Forum. It's the Zimbabwean leader's first state visit to China.
