M6.0 earthquake strikes off Mindanao, the Philippines

A magnitude-6.0 earthquake struck off the southern Mindanao Island in the Philippines on Thursday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The quake reportedly struck at 11:53 am, 51 km southeast of Tarragona town with a depth of 28 km.
The institute said aftershocks are expected, though there has no immediate reports on casualties or damages so far.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported earlier on Thursday that a magnitude-5.9 earthquake had jolted 128 km east of the island's Davao City on Thursday.
