The exchange of visits between the Chinese President and Prince Albert II, who visited Beijing last September, demonstrates the high level of China-Monaco ties.
The two heads of State held talks on strengthening China-Monaco relations.
Xi said that the two countries have always treated each other as equals with sincerity and friendship.
STEFAN DE VRIES PRESIDENTIAL PALACE, MONACO "Prince Albert II and President Xi Jinping attended a State Luncheon with forty guests. And that ended the first state visit of a Chinese President to one of the world's smallest countries."
On Sunday Night, Xi travelled to Beaulieu-sur-Mer where he was received for a private dinner in the Villa Kyrylos. France is the last leg of Xi's three-nation European visit which began in Italy. In Paris, he will also be meeting European leaders Jean-Claude Juncker and Angela Merkel before flying back to China on Tuesday. This is Stefan de Vries for CGTN in Monaco.
