Chinese President Xi Jinping said during a speech at the United Nations office in Geneva on Wednesday that China is committed to economic development that benefits a broader segment of the global population. Xi called for a multilateral world order and a world free of nuclear weapons. He also promised that China will provide an additional 200 million yuan (about 29 million US dollars) in humanitarian assistance for Syrian refugees.
