“I believe within three to five years, 'made in China' will be a household name in Vietnam," said Yang Yongzhi, General Manager of Vina Solar Technology in an interview with CGTN in Vietnam, as the country currently hosts the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings.

Local people can feel the Chinese products are improving in quality
Vina Solar Technology was founded in early 2014, with the largest production base in the world outside China in Bac Giang in northeast Vietnam. Now it has grown into one of the world's leading international photovoltaic solar energy companies and was among the “Top 10 Successful Chinese Enterprises Entering ASEAN” in 2015.
Yang told CGTN, “Before, the local Vietnamese tended to think that Chinese products are not very durable, but after Vina Solar settled in here, and our products now are sold in many parts of Vietnam, local people are really using our photovoltaic products, they begin to feel that our products now are improving a lot in quality.”
'Never forget where you started'
Talking about the just concluded 19th CPC National Congress, Yang said the idiom, “never forget why you started, and your mission can be accomplished," used in President Xi Jinping’s speech impressed him a lot. “Indeed, our Party has so many good traditions, and with President Xi’s leadership, we will play these fine traditions well."
Have confidence in Chinese culture and tradition
Yang also stressed the Four Confidences (have confidence in its chosen path, guiding theories, political system, and culture) that was mentioned in Xi’s speech at the 95th anniversary of the CPC on July 1st 2016. “ And above all, we have confidence in China’s culture, as China is an old civilization with more than 5,000 years of history and tradition, we Chinese around the world can do the best.”
“The Belt and Road Initiative is for everyone to develop and create wealth together, Vina Solar is a good example, its development has been widely recognized and supported by local governments here in Vietnam,” Yang added.
Yang said he has been looking forward to President Xi Jinping’s attendance to APEC meetings and the state visit to Vietnam. “I expect to see greater outcomes for Sino-Vietnam trade and also for Chinese enterprise in Vietnam."
