[]
The Chinese peacekeeping infantry battalion based in South Sudan has sent New Year greetings from their base in the capital Juba. They are the fourth batch of infantry deployed there by China to help maintain peace and stability. To these soldiers in blue helmets, being apart from their families during the holidays is simply part of the job.
CHINESE PEACEKEEPERS IN SOUTH SUDAN "China's peacekeeping infantry battalion wishes Chinese people a happy New Year. We will keep in mind our country, our mission and our duty." "We wish our nation a future of safety and prosperity, and our people a new year of joy and fortune."
