A renowned human rights activist and lawyer, Aisha Alkali Wakil, has appealed to the abductors of 110 Dapchi school girls to release their captives. Wakil told reporters Tuesday that she was convinced that the Abu Musab Al-Barnawi-led faction of Boko Haram might be responsible. No group has claimed responsibility. But Boko Haram carried out the abduction of the Chibok school girls in 2014. Wakil has been credited with the release of some abductees via phone calls to the leadership.
