The Russian army has practised defensive measures against a potential chemical attack in its western Kursk region, which borders northern Ukraine. Videos posted on the defense ministry's official channel show military vehicles driving to positions and preparing for a missile launch.

Soldiers dressed in special protective suits practised detecting and eliminating chemical hazards. Russian media reported that over five hundred soldiers and chemical experts took part in the exercise.
