Around 300 tourists trapped at a tourist attraction in northwest China's Gansu Province by a flash flood were rescued on Saturday night.
A total of 296 tourists were stranded for about five hours at Huanghe Stone Forest scenic spot in Jingtai County, Baiyin City, before they were evacuated to safety.
They were trapped after a flood swept through the scenic spot, which was caused by heavy rainfall that started at about 5:40 p.m. local time.
Twenty minutes later, the turbulent waters poured down from the Yinmagou Grand Canyon to the Yellow River, washing away four cars and damaging infrastructures.
