Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old Bangladeshi immigrant who detonated an explosive device in New York City bus terminal during Monday’s morning rush, has been charged with terror offenses, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).
He was charged with supporting act of terrorism, making a terroristic threat and criminal possession of a weapon, NYPD said.
The Department of Homeland Security said Ullah has been living in the US since 2011 on an F43 family immigrant visa.
