Now let's take a closer look at the four new major policies mentioned in President Xi's speech.
First, China will significantly broaden market access. China will accelerate the opening-up of the insurance industry, ease restrictions on the establishment of foreign financial institutions, and expand their business scope.
Second, China is to create a more attractive investment environment. It will complete revisions of the negative list on foreign investment in the first half of the year.
Third, China will strengthen protection of intellectual property rights. President Xi said China will establish a State Intellectual Property Office this year, to step up law enforcement.
The last policy is to expand imports. The president said China will work hard to import more products that are competitive, and desired by the Chinese consumer.
