Myanmar Politics: Win Myint elected as new president

Up coming is our Asia Focus segment. Myanmar's parliament has chosen a new president. Win Myint, the former speaker of the lower house, will replace Htin Kyaw - who resigned last week, due to health problems. On Thursday, the parliament will announce the inauguration date for the president and two vice presidents. Win Myint will be the country's 10th president since it gained independence in 1948.
