Earlier, my colleague Asieh spoke with political analyst Eleanor Clift about Trump's talk at the NATO summit.
ASIEH NAMDAR WASHINGTON "In your take, there is nothing changed, because there's no firm commitment from any of the NATO allies on how much are they going to increase their spending, and within what time-frame in fact French President Emmanuel Macron rejected Trump's association in their communication, it reaffirmed the commitment to 2% in 2024. That is all. So nothing really changed. That was the commitment before, and that remains the commitment now."
ELEANOR CLIFT POLITICAL ANALYST, THE DAILY BEAST "There is not even much of the world words, and again, with this president, I have never seen any American president dominate the news on such consistent bases, even since he set foot on the White House, on every single day, on every single news. The Senate voted a resolution, supportive of NATO 97 to 2. Everybody is taking advantage of us. There is bunch of free loaders. We are not here, we are not getting on moneys. Whereas, he is the big realistic developer from New York. He is gonna get a better deal. So he operates as though he was still in Trump Tower in New York."
