Spring Festival Travel Rush: New technology and procedures ease pressure during travel period

China's Spring Festival travel rush, Chunyun, has entered its tenth day. Technology is helping ease the pressure as more and more people hit the road. New facial recognition checkpoints at some high-speed rail stations allow passengers to pass through the gates in five seconds. Nanchang station also released a new app to inform passengers of travel updates.
Meanwhile, the city of Jinan in Shandong Province has improved its rescue operations. The city added three helicopters to speed up its response. The chopper's size allows it to land in a variety of places -- including highways, during emergencies.
