Hurricane Irma gave Florida a coast-to-coast pummeling with winds of up to 130 mph (209 kph) on Sunday. The 400-mile wide (640-kilometre wide) storm made landfall on Sunday morning in the mostly cleared-out Florida Keys, then began a slow march up the US state's west coast.
