Pollution and climate change are making it hard for coral reefs to survive. Scientists are re-growing coral from larvae on damaged patches of the reef that might otherwise be unable to regenerate naturally. It’s the first time Australia's Marine Park Authority has allowed any interference in this natural process. Scientists say research could lead to the rebirth of the global reef system.
