A spokesperson with China's top economic planner said as the world's largest supplier of such materials, China is willing to try its best to satisfy global demand for rare earth as long as it is used for legitimate purposes. But government resolutely opposes any attempt to use products made with China's exported rare earth material to suppress the country's development.
