NATO Command Structure: Alliance to establish two new command centers in US, Germany

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization plans to build a new command center in both the US and Germany to upgrade its operational structure. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made the announcement ahead of a defense ministers meeting in Brussels from Wednesday to Thursday. He said the new center in the US will focus on ensuring maritime security in the Atlantic. The one in Germany will be responsible for improving mobility within Europe. NATO defense ministers agreed to revise the command structure in November.
