Taiwan Earthquake: Death toll rises to 12 after two more bodies found
[]
The death toll from Tuesday's magnitude-6.5 earthquake in Taiwan's Hualien county has risen to 12. The bodies of two Hong Kong-Canadians were pulled from the ruble earlier today. Five people remain missing. Heavy rain, aftershocks, and unstable structures, have hampered rescue efforts. Attention is now on one apartment building in the center of Hualien, where most of those still unaccounted for are trapped. The building is on the edge of collapse, making rescue efforts more difficult.
