How do you normally spend your time on the subway? Listen to music? Read books? What about listening to books?
Well, if you are taking the Beijing Subway Line 4 to and back from work each day, you may want to try its "mobile audio library," where you could have a listen to all the books neatly “placed” there on the bookshelves.
After using a phone to scan the QR code on the side, commuters will be directed to an application called “Dedao” and get a chance to download and listen to nearly a thousand audio books.
This is a collaboration between the application and the Beijing Subway, which aims to “bring libraries into the daily lives of ordinary people and to make reading and knowledge flow.”
The Beijing Subway Line 4 is known as the "cultural line," as it always hold events like this to engage people in cultural activities while moving at the fast pace of city life.
