Shells hit Russian embassy compound in Syria

Shells have struck and damaged the Russian embassy compound in Damascus, AP reported, citing a Syrian state media source.
According to state news agency SANA, two shells were fired at the embassy on Sunday, with one hitting the compound and the other falling nearby. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
The attack came hours after a bomb exploded in the rebel-held northwestern city of Idlib, injuring five people, including two children.
