For the past month, CGTN reporters have been traveling the globe, seeking solutions for common challenges, and telling different stories in "The Big Picture." We have put China in a global context to find its connections with the rest of the world.
Today, in the final episode, we wrap up the journey by drawing The Big Picture, in which all nations are seeking solutions to world’s challenges.
To truly see China, you need to be here. To truly know China, you need to talk to its people. To truly understand China, you need to put it in a global context. And that's what we've done to see the big picture. Advances in technology and infrastructure increase mobility and people-to-people contacts. Connectivity is linking all nations and cultures, and shifting the future relations among them. This connectivity will shape China’s role in the world.
Problems exist in all nations: competing interests and converging benefits, and different ideas of the meaning of life. These are scenes from the world’s big picture. And when we put them together, we get a clearer view of China’s role in the world, and better answers for the world’s role in China.
The images in our stories are the expressions of our understanding of the big picture. Someone’s loss may be another’s gain, one place’s success can be a reference for the rest, one country’s solutions may affect the choices of others. People everywhere have the same desire, for safety, prosperity, peace, and health. Some are struggling just to survive, some are starting a new life, some are determined to preserve their identity, and some are working for a better tomorrow.
So, what are the solutions? And how does China fit into the big picture? It all depends on how much of it you see. And the Big Picture… keeps changing…
