Huawei’s latest flagship phone, the Mate 10, launched in more than 15 countries including Spain, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia on Friday.
The Mate 10 and its pro version were released earlier, on Monday this week in Germany, one of Huawei’s major markets.
Both of the phones are powered by the company's own AI chipset, the Kirin 970, with Google’s Android 8.0 operating system. The two models feature glossy glass construction and have edge-to-edge bezel-less LCD screens, with one measuring 5.9 inches, and Mate 10 Pro, six inches.
Both phones are said to have a larger battery and are equipped with Leica dual-lens cameras with color and monochrome sensors.
This time Huawei switched the Mate 10's fingerprint sensor to the front below the screen, while the sensor remained on the back for the pro version.
According to the company, Mate 10 is available in four colors including Mocha Brown, Black, Champagne Gold or Pink Gold and three versions are available in China – 4GB of RAM with 32GB or 64GB of storage and a version with 6GB of RAM with 128GB storage. Markets outside China have only the 4GB of RAM with 64GB of storage version.
