Located in northwestern Haidian District of Beijing, the 27-story CCTV Building was opened in 1986 and is 112 meters high (367 ft). The tower served as CCTV headquarters until 2012 when the construction of the new headquarters was completed in Chaoyang District.
The CCTV Building's projection light show is designed to make the building look like it has been painted with a wide array of colors and will be on during the Spring Festival.
