Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigned from his post on Friday, hours after the Supreme Court disqualified him over claims of corruption involving his family, Reuters reported.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been disqualified from holding public office over a corruption scandal, the Supreme Court of Pakistan ruled on Friday.
Sharif was allegedly involved in money laundering in the 1990s. The court also ordered a case against him to be referred to the National Accountability Bureau.
