Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Ri Yong Ho will make a visit to Russia next week to discuss issues surrounding the Korean Peninsula, Yonhap cited Russian foreign ministry as saying.
Ri will visit Russia from Monday to Wednesday next week and will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday, the ministry said on Wednesday.
Ri and Lavrov are expected to discuss the bilateral relationship and the situation surrounding the Korean Peninsula ahead of the Pyongyang-Seoul and Pyongyang-Washington summits, the ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
Ri visited Beijing earlier, and met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday.
Ri is scheduled to fly to Baku, Azerbaijan, to attend a ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement starting on Thursday.
