Premier Li: China has made remarkable achievements in opening-up

Over the past five years, China has committed to opening-up and emphasized on promoting win-win cooperation with other countries, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Monday.
Li made the remarks when delivering his annual government work report to lawmakers during the opening meeting of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), China’s national legislature, held in Beijing from March 5 to 20.
The premier listed a series of China's economic accomplishments in recent years:
- Launching the Belt and Road Initiative, and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and setting up Silk and Road Fund, and other major connectivity projects
- Establishing 11 pilot free trade zones
- Setting up 13 comprehensive experimental zones for cross-border e-commerce
- Creating a negative list and cutting restrictions for foreign investment by two thirds
- Stepping up efforts to attract foreign talents
- Signing and upgrading eight free trade agreements and launching the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect and the Bond Connect
- Pushing for RMB internationalization, as shown by it being included in the IMF's Special Drawing Rights basket
