Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono visited Seoul for talks with his ROK's counterpart Kang Kyung-wha on Wednesday. This is the first time in more than two years that a Japanese FM has visited ROK.
In the meeting, Kang described her plans for the upcoming talks between DPRK and ROK, as well as DPRK's summit with the US.
Kono said he hoped Japan and ROK would work together to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.
Two sides are expected to discuss the “comfort women issue.”
