China-South Africa Relations: Trade, investment deals signed during Chinese leader's state visit

China is promising to invest billions in South Africa. The two signed several trade and investment deals during Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit. After talks in Pretoria, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said Beijing would invest fourteen-point-seven billion US dollars into his country. President Xi said China would expand imports from South Africa to support development in the continent's most industrialized economy. Shortly after China's announcement, the rand's value rose slightly. Our correspondent Vauldi Carelse tells us more from Pretoria.
