For 24 years, Wang Mingqing and his wife had been searching for their missing daughter.
Their little girl disappeared while the couple were selling fruit in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province in southwest China.
Wang became a private car driver in 2015 and spends his days driving around the city.
He put up posters on his car and gave out a lot of cards publicizing his story to passengers. Hundreds offered help by disseminating the information on the Internet.
Finally, the miracle happened, and over two decades later, he found his daughter.
On March 8, 2017, a girl named Kang Ying located Wang Mingqing through WeChat and said she might be his missing child.
A DNA test, performed with the help of a police officer from Shandong Province, proved that Kang Ying is Wang’s daughter.
Kang Ying is a mother of two girls and lives in Jilin Province now.
Wang also heard that his daughter previously lived in an area only 20 kilometers away from where she disappeared.
Since their reunion, he has been spring cleaning to prepare for his daughter’s return. Wang and his wife said, “No matter where she lives, we just hope she can have a happy life.”
