G7 Foreign Ministers Meeting: Issues related to Iran, Russia dominate gathering in Toronto

G7 foreign ministers have wrapped up a two-day meeting in Toronto. They agreed to be vigilant about Russia, and its actions in Syria. Iran was also on the agenda. CGTN's Jim Spellman has the latest.
JIM SPELLMAN WASHINGTON The G7 foreign ministers are calling attention to so-called "malign behavior" by Russia, regarding Syria, the Ukraine alleged foreign election meddling and other issues. 
BORIS JOHNSON BRITISH FOREIGN SECRETARY "What we decided yesterday was we were going to set up a G7 group that would look at Russia 'malign behavior' in all its manifestations, whether its cyber of warfare, whether its disinformation, whatever of assassination attempts...collectively trying call it up."
JIM SPELLMAN WASHINGTON A senior US official says the G7 countries are unified on this and that a joint communique will be issued criticizing Russia. But the US also says it's open to negotiations with Russia over Syria and acknowledgment that Russia will play a core role in the future of Syria.
