The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) said on Saturday that it was nearing its goal of reaching "equilibrium" of military force with the United States, one day after the country’s latest missile launch.
"Our final goal is to establish the equilibrium of real force with the US and make the US rulers dare not talk about military option for the DPRK," the country’s leader Kim Jong Un made the comments via DPRK's official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Kim said the country was close to the goal of completing its nuclear ambitions and should use all power at its disposal to finish the task, saying it had "nearly reached the terminal," reported KCNA.

"We should clearly show the big power chauvinists how our state attains the goal of completing its nuclear force despite their limitless sanctions and blockade," said Kim.
Pyongyang blasted a ballistic missile over Japan in the early hours of Friday, which reached a distance of 3,700 kilometers before falling into the Pacific, prompting a global uproar.
Experts said that the firing apparently showed Pyongyang's capacity to strike Guam, located some 3,400 kilometers from the DPRK.
US President Donald Trump said on Friday that he was confident that US options in addressing threats posed by the DPRK were "effective and overwhelming."
Trump said the latest DPRK's ballistic missile launch has shown "its utter contempt for its neighbors and for the entire world community."

"After seeing your capabilities and commitment here today, I am more confident than ever that our options in addressing this threat are both effective and overwhelming," said the US president, addressing the US air force which was celebrating its 70th anniversary at Joint Base Andrews near Washington.
Trump also vowed that his country would defend itself from "all who dare to threaten our way of life," including Pyongyang.
China on Friday said it opposes ballistic missile launches by the DPRK, urging all parties concerned to exercise restraint and avoid any acts that may escalate tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
