45 dead after buses washed away in landslide in India
At least 45 people were killed on the spot after two buses fell off the road following a landslide in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday, local media reported. 
The casualties could continue to rise in the accident, which took place at around 12:30 a.m. on the Mandi-Pathankot national highway.
According to local media, another bus was also hit by the landslide, and at least a dozen small vehicles are trapped in the debris.
Five people have been rescued so far.
A search and rescue operation is ongoing.
