A 5.4-magnitude earthquake jolted Qingchuan County in southwest China's Sichuan Province on Saturday afternoon, according to China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The quake struck at 2:14 p.m. BJT (0614GMT) at a depth of 13 kilometers.
The tremors were felt in Chongqing, Sichuan's provincial capital Chengdu and other surrounding cities including Deyang and Mianyang.
In 2008, Qingchuan County was seriously hit by an 8.0-magnitude earthquake in Wenchuan, southwest China's Sichuan, which left tens of thousands of people dead.
