The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has dismissed Hwang Pyong So, the director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army, said the Republic of Korea's (ROK) National Intelligence Service (NIS) on Monday.
During a parliamentary briefing, the NIS said Kim Jong Gak, a vice chief in the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, was picked as the new director of the bureau, while former chief Hwang Pyong So and vice chief Kim Won Hong, had been dismissed.
