This incident is spilling into other areas of UK-Russia relations. Theresa May said the UK might shut down some Russian media outlets, including the broadcaster RT. The Russian Foreign Ministry says Moscow will not allow any British media outlets to operate within the country, if the UK shuts down RT.

The spokesperson also slammed Prime Minister Theresa May's statement in parliament on Monday, insisting Russia is not guilty. May said that evidence showed the agent had been targeted by a "military-grade nerve agent of a type developed by Russia". She has demanded an explanation from Moscow by Tuesday. On March 5th, Sergei Skripal, a former Russian intelligence officer, and his 33-year-old daughter Yulia, were found unconscious on a bench at a shopping center in England.
