South Korean President Moon Jae-in has signed a bill that would loosen the country's presidential term limit. The proposal would add a second four-year term to the current single five-year term.
The proposal will now be submitted to the National Assembly, which will have 60 days to vote on the bill. If passed, it will be put to a national referendum in the June 13th local elections. It marks the first time since 1980 for a president to propose a constitutional change.
