China wishes to work with Pompeo to manage differences

China said on Wednesday it wishes to work with US President Donald Trump's nominee for secretary of state, Mike Pompeo, to manage differences between the two countries.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang told a regular press conference that China hopes to continue working together with the United States on hotspot issues.
“China appreciates Rex Tillerson’s efforts in the development of China-US relations, and we hope Tillerson continues to care for and support the development of China-US relations in the future,” he added.
US President Donald Trump ousted Secretary of State Tillerson and replaced him with CIA Director Pompeo on Tuesday.
