“Mind King”, a popular WeChat quiz game, was suspended on Tuesday due to the violation of instant messaging regulations.

Developers of the game published an article on their official WeChat account on Wednesday, responding that the game was suspended due to violation of the “Interim Provisions on the Administration of the Development of Public Information Services Provided through Instant Messaging Tools” and for failing to review their questions rigorously.

Developers announced that they were undertaking a rigorous self-examination, and promised to delete the substandard content and upgrade the review process of their questions. However, they didn’t say when the service will be resumed.
