Pyeongchang Winter Olympics: DPRK delegation arrives for closing ceremony
[]
We begin on the Korean Peninsula, and the PyeongChang Winter Olympics. The closing ceremony of the 17-day sporting event will be held this evening. One of the highlights of the Games has been the participation of the DPRK, and the active interactions of the North and South. They're seen as positive signs of easing tensions on the peninsula. Reports say the high-level DPRK delegation has arrived for the closing ceremony. It's led by Kim Yong Chol, vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the Worker's Party of Korea. They're to meet South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The US delegation, led by Ivanka Trump, arrived earlier. And on Friday, US President Donald Trump rolled out sanctions against DPRK-linked shipping assets, calling them the "heaviest sanctions ever" levied on Pyongyang.
