A skyscraper in Wuhan, Hubei Province, is set to become China’s highest building, overtaking the current record holder in Shanghai.

The Wuhan Greenland Center is located by the Yangtze River and is under construction. It has risen to 439 meters after a steel reinforced concrete column was piled on the top of the building on December 31 2016. The Center is designed to complete in 2018 with a height of 636 meters, four meters higher than the Shanghai Tower located in the Lujiazui area, the costal city’s most financially vibrating region.
