Six militants including a senior Taliban commander were killed in an air raid that targeted a hideout of Taliban group in the eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, the provincial government said on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the security forces, acting upon intelligence reports targeted a hideout of Taliban militants in Khogiani district on Tuesday evening, killing six insurgents including a notorious commander Mohibullah alias Yaser.

Taliban militants are yet to comment on the report.
