Two Chinese live stream anchors, Yang Jie and Liu Guobiao, have been involved in charity fraud since 2016. They appealed for donations from web users to allegedly help children and the elderly in poverty-stricken areas of southwest China and broadcast making charitable donations to communities online. However, it emerged that as soon as the shows come to an end, they took the money back.
