British supermodel Naomi Campbell hosted her latest charity "Fashion for Relief" show in Cannes on Sunday. This year's theme is "Race to Equality", focusing on education, health and culture.
Stars such as Adrien Brody, Mario Balotelli, and Carla Bruni-Sarkozy attended the star-studded show, held in an airport hangar and on the sidelines of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. Models in the show itself included Willie Harlow, Bella Hadid, Natasha Poly and Sara Sampaio. This year, the event was aimed at raising money for charities including Save the Children and Times Up, a campaign against workplace sexual misconduct. Speaking before the "Fashion For Relief" catwalk in Cannes, Bella Hadid said she was happy to support Naomi, and a charitable cause.
BELLA HADID MODEL "This is such a huge cause, and now we really need to do something for the kids, and there's so much poverty in the world, so at this point the least I can do is come here and support. And you know Naomi is our queen so anything for her I'll do."
Campbell's friend Michelle Rodriguez also walked in the show, nonchalantly chewing gum and chatting with the other models, but, like Hadid, the cause and her friendship are important to her:
MICHELLE RODRIGUEZ ACTRESS "Well, I love Naomi, and I know that she's a controversial human sometimes, but she's got a heart of gold, and I've known her for many years, and I just love what she's doing. You know, I love the idea of racial equality, I love the idea of getting together with people and using fashion to give out the message that 'Hey, stop judging, we're all gonna die one day, start loving each other because it's about that time'."
"Fashion for Relief", founded by Campbell 13 years ago, has previously contributed to the fight against Ebola and the Haiti earthquake relief. YR, CGTN.
