Taiyuan, Jinzhong, Changzhi and other cities in north China's Shanxi Province issued yellow alerts for fog on Saturday, as visibility sank below 500 meters in some regions. A yellow alert for icy roads was also issued in Datong, Xinzhou and other cities. The provincial Traffic Police Command Center said temporary traffic controls have been put in place on expressways.
