FM: President Xi the 'chief architect' of China's major country diplomacy

President Xi Jinping has been the chief architect of China's major-country diplomacy and personally involved in the planning and conducting of "brilliant" head-of-state diplomacy, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Thursday.
"President Xi's leadership and charisma have won China many good friends for China," he said.
China will continue to break new ground in pursuing major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in line with the strategic plans of the 19th Communist Party of China (CPC) National Congress.
Wang made the remarks at a press conference in Beijing on the sidelines of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress, answering questions on China's foreign policy and external relations.
